Menopause Support

Understanding menopause

Menopause is a natural life stage that affects everyone differently. It happens as the body gradually produces less oestrogen, leading to changes in periods, hormones and overall wellbeing.

Menopause is confirmed when periods have stopped for 12 consecutive months. It most commonly occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, although it can happen earlier for some people.

Premature menopause, also called premature ovarian insufficiency, is when periods stop before the age of 40. Around 1 in 100 women experience premature menopause.

Menopausal symptoms vary widely. Some people have few or no symptoms, while others experience symptoms that affect daily life.

If you are experiencing symptoms, you are not alone. Around 8 out of 10 women experience menopausal symptoms, which typically last for about four years after their last period.

Common Menopause Symptoms

Managing Menopausal Symptoms

There are many ways to manage menopausal symptoms. Lifestyle changes, nutritional support and appropriate clinical advice can all help improve comfort, confidence and long-term wellbeing.

If you are considering herbal remedies or supplements, it is important to seek professional guidance first, as some products may cause side effects or interact with other medication.

We recommend speaking with our Nutritional Therapist, Elena Pestovskaya, for personalised advice.
